Virginia Byron adds some desperately needed spark.

Virginia Byron is excellent as the family matriarch switching from high drama to high comedy in seconds.

QX Magazine - Alexis Gregory

Proud: VB who stole the show, delivering an incredible number of witty lines that she was able to deliver with impeccable timing”

SOsoGAY.co.uk - Gerard Butler

"supreme integrity"

Landscape: Beth’s (an excellent VB) tales are tender and full of longing. A beautiful piece of theatre, acted with supreme integrity.

Ealing & Acton Gazette - Alistair Taylor

”sophisticated!”

La Musica: Sexy! Sophisticated! Intimate! It’s intense. VB is a sophisticated Parisienne with a trace of world weary affectation. I loved it and I’m going to tell all my friends about it.

Suddenly at Home: VB is fascinating as the dressy actress Sheila.

The Stage - Barbara Champion

VOICE

“I have a passion for theatre and film, especially Samuel Beckett, Shakespeare and Comedy”

After studying for a French degree at Royal Holloway, I worked in financial publishing. My job involved a lot of international travel and client presentation, sometimes in French.

In 1996, I left the City to train for three years at Mountview and since graduating, I’ve been fortunate enough to work regularly and with gifted directors and fellow performers.

In 2002 I joined John Calder’s Godot Company where I played most of Samuel Beckett’s female roles. Highlights include Mouth in "Not I" which I performed in 10 1/2 minutes for a N01 Irish Tour for Richard Ryan Productions. I also played Woman 2 in "Play" and the Assistant Director in "Catastrophe" both at the Traverse, Edinburgh. In addition, Miss Fitt in “All That Fall” with the great Tony Rohr, May in "Footfalls", "Rockaby" and "Hey Joe". I have performed an extract of Winnie in O Les Beaux Jours (Happy Days) in French with David de Keyser and wrote and performed in "Beckett and the French".

I love clever Comedy particularly Noel Coward. I recently played Liz Essendine in Present Laughter for G& G productions and was asked back to play Jean in Funny Money by Ray Cooney, my first farce. I was fortunate enough to work in weekly Rep playing four leads in six weeks including Ruth in "Blithe Spirit" and Fiona in Alan Ayckbourn’s "How the Other Half Loves".

Another career highlight was working on the fantastic writer John Stanley’s play "Proud" at LOST Theatre with a dream team cast and wonderful director, Oliver Jack with Patrick Wilde as dramaturg. I played Rachel McCain, a mother to be reckoned with.

I recently enjoyed reprising the role of Virette in another feature length Dr Who radio drama, "Eternity Rises" for BBC Children in Need 2015. 2014’s episode "Dark Times" raised over £120,000 both directed by the great Brendan Sheppard. He also directed a talking book I recorded for his Word of Mouth company, "Guy Fawkes, a Desperate Remedy".

Recent film work includes "I’ll Walk with God" for Encore Films for which I was honoured by a Best Actress award at the CFF, Virginia, USA and "Broken Dreams" for Dewdrop Media Ltd.

Roleplay

I thoroughly enjoy roleplay work, engaging with medical and corporate professionals on a one-to-one basis, either in an examination situation or by teaching effective communication skills.
